In EnglishSTUDIO PII-POTEstablished in 1987 by ceramists Marjaleena Piippo (MA) and Markku Piippo (MA), Pii-Pot Cc holds strong expertise in ceramic product development and manufacturing. All of our products are designed and manufactured in our studio in a small village of Kinnulanlahti, ever since we finished building the premises in 1992.
Muksa family
Muksa is our most popular product family. Designed to last, they all stand firmly on their tiny feet. Raw materials and manufacturing processes are carefully selected to ensure all Muksa products are safe for food use.
Other products
All of our products are designed to handle even rough use. Functional both as individual items or in series, all warm white tableware are available in a variety of illustrations, even unique images in photograph quality.
Services
In addition to our own production, we offer subcontract manufacturing of molds or finished products even for small batches. This includes anything from personalised corporate gifts to large and challenging restaurant tableware. We make molds from handmade or 3D-printed models with a comprehensive selection of plaster, silicone, epoxy, urethane and other hard plastics.
We can make replacement tiles for old tiled stoves or other objects for refurbishment. Our wide collection of colour and material research equipment allows for precise colour matching, casting slip analysis, casting slip and glaze fine adjustment as well as many other research challenges. We repair and service pottery kilns and manufacture heating wire elements to any pottery kiln model. On special order, we build unique pottery kilns for hobby or professional use. As examples of our past collaborations, we have selected the following projects.Overseen by the Finnish national board of antiquities, we manufactured ceramic swimming pool splash guard tiles used in a refurbishing project at a swimming hall at the Sports institute of Finland, Vierumäki. The original tiles were made in the 1930s.
We made porcelain tiles inserted to the cover of the book ‘Arabian Lumoava Posliini’. Due to its small first edition size, the book is now a collectible rarity sold in antique auctions. Small ceramic pearls used in Onerva and Helene jewellery lines by Kalevala-koru Oy were all made by us. Tiny objects in huge quantities for a change. Collaboration with Innojok Oy started in 2013 and still continues. Currently, we manufacture large ceramic lampshade Lambada, designed by Samuli Naamanka. It is sold in four colours as well as custom colours. Smaller but equally challenging projects include dozens of replacement tiles for refurbishing old tiled stoves.
